Extended Services
Aims and Objectives of Lavender Farm Nursery Extended Schools
We aim to provide good quality integrated care, education and support for the individual needs of children, their families and the local community, through a holistic approach provided by a multi professional staff team, in a safe, stimulating and happy environment.
We positively encourage involvement of parents/carers so that we can work in partnership.
To allow the children to reach their maximum potential we provide a balance of activities and experiences appropriate to the age and stage of development for all the children that attend.
We welcome each child and adult, regardless of its background into an environment that values, respects and can offer support.
Opening Hours
Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am with staff taking the children through to school ready for the start of their day. Breakfast consists of toast, various cereals and milk.
Afterschool club starts at 3.20pm and the children are collected from their class rooms. We close at 5.30pm so you can collect your child at any time within the session to suit your family’s needs. A light tea/snack is provided during the session and menus can be provided on request.
Breakfast and Afterschool club are available during term time.
In the event of severe weather please phone nursery before you leave home to ensure that 2 members of staff have arrived.
Meals
At Lavender Farm Nursery meal times are viewed as an important opportunity to develop social skills and independence. Children sit and enjoy their snack together in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Breakfast and tea snacks are served and are part of a nutritiously balanced diet avoiding large quantities of fat, salt, additives, preservatives and colourings. A specialised cook prepares the tea snack on site. A vegetarian option is always available.
